Tubi's Super Nostalgia Reunion



As a Creative Director at Team Whistle I had the privilege to work on a project for Tubi, a prominent streaming platform that partnered with TikTok in the first-ever live long-form event in the US on TikTok. 

Our objective was to emphasize the abundance of nostalgic 90s content available on their platform, which was experiencing a resurgence in popularity at the time.

The outcome was the creation of "Tubi's Super Nostalgia Reunion" a TikTok Live event featuring renowned 90s icons such as Marlon Wayans, Joey Lawrence and Paris Hilton. My responsibility involved developing all the branding and a comprehensive range of graphics for the live event. This encompassed everything from captivating on-air graphics like the introduction title and lower thirds to stage dressing, step and repeats, event badges, and all the social media promotional materials.

The visual concept centered around a distinct, vibrant 90s aesthetic, 
drawing inspiration from beloved shows like "Saved by the Bell" and "Martin."

Overall, the nostalgic TikTok content reached over 66M unique users and over 840K fans participated in each hashtag challenge - beating all existing TikTok benchmarks at the time of the campaign. Video views surpassed 13.7 billion with over 2.1 billion engagements (i.e. likes, comments, shares, clicks). Tubi was the number one brand mentioned by users during the time of the campaign (June 17-23), which exceeded Kantar Entertainment Recall and Awareness norms by upwards of 4x.
